I'm not feeling too productive today. Mother is still in ICU but is moving in the right direction. It's going to be a long road of recovery.

So a mother in ICU because of flu related problems (she tested positive for Influenza B, which lead to a severe heart attack.

Wife just got over a 5 day fever, she gets ill rarely and never more than a couple of days. She was exposed and probably had it.

Son has fever and head cold symptoms but seems ok, he was vaccinated so it might go easy on him.

Daughter is ok still and is singing at Disneyland next weekend, I hope she doesn't come down with anything. She also has been vaccinated and has a strong immune system. She has never missed a day of school, ever, going on her 8th straight year of school. She has perfect attendance.

My son is 4th grade and missed one day in kindergarten.

How lucky is that? They also love going to school. There's no doubt some parents have a much tougher fight every morning with their child. We are on an extreme end the spectrum and blessed to be there.

As for me, I'm vaccinated and hope that if I get it, (don't know how I can't get it at this point), maybe it won't be as severe.

My father has not come down with it. He's been vaccinated but is definitely in a high risk group if he does get it.
