I don't think PM's are exactly private around here. Same with Jmon, I would like him to run some stats so we can look at the difference between final stats and what is perceived in play.

After all, we can see something performed such and such percent of the time, but does that account for other factors surrounding each individual instance; these factors make up the context of each individual play.

The trick is to find the relevant context and then apply it to search results.

This is why so many static models get into the give and take of the markets, winning some and losing some...they fail to grasp the context of the plays.

Even concrete motivations can be quantified, if you look at the relevant factors.

When I always say track your plays and why you made them, this is partly what I mean.

guess you could call that a winner, id call it a miracle escape. can do it all, java, c, c++, data retrieval, circuits, hardware description languages, got a dot-com sports stats website, automated scrapers, database programming.

For the NHL it's easy to get forecast with Pitt winning, no matter what you are using. I have Pitt winning the game by less than half of a goal with a 5.5 or so point total. Lesser performing and non predictive numbers vary and agree with the total for the most part but they do give Pitt a slightly better chance than I do.

With my numbers and looking at the marketplace I find value with Tampa Bay Lightning +188 over Pittsburgh Penguins.
