The critical miscalculation that is causing many of the left wings problems today
Around 10 years ago, back when Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, Neil Tyson deGrasse and similar figures were getting big pushes from celebrities and the media.

University professors & academics redefined many terms relating to religion and spiritualism.

They miscategorized non denominational believers in God or a Higher Power as atheist to fool everyone into believing the majority of the global population were left wing atheist. The way unfortunate victims of car crashes were mislabeled casualties of COVID to exaggerate the pandemic.

The left continues to launch these woke campaigns believing in their own fake news which claimed left wing atheism is the largest and most dominant segment of the global population. And that simply isn't the case. Which is why every woke campaign they initiate is met with a massive backlash.

"Know your audience," is something the left has failed to do for the past 5 years and it has costed them significantly.

There's some truth to that, a friend of mine from the University of Chicago is a senior fellow at the Witherspoon Institute and he was saying that if you include non-denominations, Christianity is growing in America.

The left rolled out NFL players taking a knee.

Led by their poster boy Colin Kaepernick wearing his Fidel Castro t-shirt.

They expected america to be majority comprised of marxist atheists who would embrace & support the movement.

They believed their own fake numbers that said atheism and marxism had taken over the entire world. Despite #brexit and numerous independance movements around the world indicating otherwise.

It wasn't until the campaign spectacularly failed, that they realized their numbers were wrong. Being leftists they persisted with their obviously flawed strategy, as leftists usually do. Until finally the golden globes were canceled to avoid the embarrassment the oscar awards had suffered.

Atheist marxism was never a majority in the USA. It was always a demographic composed of a sliver minority of unhappy people who were being taken advantage of. That thought they would be better off living under a communist regime, than they would having rights and freedoms under capitalism.

The number of christians who actively attend church, who identify with a specific denomination have declined. But what most don't know is marxists redefined the term atheism to include many who believe in God/Higher Power to fool people into believing atheism/marxism was gaining far more traction than it actually was.

There are sources for this I remember reading many years ago, I can try to dig up later.

Lets see if I understand this, everyone on the left is an atheist, everyone on the right that don't have or attend a denominational church believes in god or a higher power, and large numbers of people that died in car crashes were said to have died from covid, and for the past 5 years the left has paid a significant price for not knowing their audience?

I set out to say: "water is wet" and educate people on basic points mentioned in this thread.

But it seems to me that the best educators are people like khicks26, greget and the democrat party.

Who have a knack for making people interested in the deficit, the economy and related topics I could never influence anyone into caring about.

How many things have you been right about over the years.

How many people listen to what you say or take you seriously.

You think you're fooling people, but it seems to me, that you're only fooling yourself.

I bet if normal people were polled on who the most reliable, accurate and trusted sources of information on SBR were. You, dante1, greget, l8night and friends would be at the bottom of the pile -- where you belong.

                  I know the basics.

Which is more than most can say.

The number of people who fail to know the basics, makes it seem as if I am a genius.

But that has much more to do with their own lack of literacy and basic knowledge than it does anything on my part.

No one thinks you're a genius, again you're just delusional.

If you actually think this country is trending toward less secular, you're delusional. By every penetrating metric people are more secular. Church attendance is basically non existent. Every poll shows the same shit... fewer christians, more agnostics and ashiests.

Then you can just look at the issues. No one under 30 gives two shits about gay people marrying, trans, or any of the other culture wars Christians care about.

Politicians are "christian" because it matter to Christians, the rest of us don't really care one way or the other. Witness Trump's miraculous religious awakening at 75 years old..

The writing is on the wall for religion, as soon as society (ie government) takes care of people's basic needs they have no need for the solace of religious institutions, that's why a country's religiosity is directly proportional to how well their citizens basic needs are met.

Where did all the smart people go. They're scarce and in very short supply these days.

I remember everyone loving Richard Dawkins around 2007. Sometime after his book "The God Delusion" was released. It used to be common for people to quote things Richard Dawkins said. And look to him for guidance and "intelligent" content.

                          2021, everyone hates Richard Dawkins.

No one likes secularists and atheists on social media. Atheists lie and tell people they're "agnostic" or "muslim" to avoid the negative stigma associated with atheism.

Even Sam Harris distances himself from secularism and atheism to increase his marketability and public persona.

Which "metrics" are you looking at? Can you name, even one.

This all makes sense now...You need to stay off social media for a year and you're life would change significantly. It's clearly where you get a lot of information. Sentences that start like, "Everyone hates..." and "No one likes..." are what I hear from uneducated people and/or teenagers. Which are you?

British scientists don't like Richard Dawkins, finds study that didn't even ask questions about Richard Dawkins

The investigation into science's public image didn't even ask about the atheist professor, but it got an answer anyway

I know of people in real life. Who have to be atheist. That I've seen name drop Jesus to try to get on peoples good side.

Democrats who are atheist try to pretend to be about God and christianity. Knowing the majority lean in that direction.

                              Atheism was big around 2007.
