I assume you mean $72 billion. Income tax revenues were 76 billion higher this year compared to last year through the first 6 months of the year. We need to cut spending regardless of any tax legislation, and the biggest reason for the ballooning deficits is the Fed hiking rates. That's 400 billion right there.
