The U.S. economy continued to add jobs at a solid clip in May, with nonfarm payrolls up 223,000 while the unemployment rate was 3.8 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.

#5Stock futures soar on blowout employment report. Dow is +185.
Bonds headed in the opposite direction as investors price in rapidly increasing economic activity.
10 year hits a yield of 2.92% as traders dump bonds in the premarket. The Fed is already planning rate increases and is concerned too much growth will spark inflation. Yesterday, however, the feds favorite inflation pricing report showed only a 2.4% annualized inflation rate.Comment -

Yep, Roy doesn't get this. I believe he was one of the guys giving DT credit after two months or so. And he claims to have great business acumen. Not if he thinks this is DT. The great irony might come if and when a recession hits and these same lads somehow blame everybody but DT? And that could be in the cards--however, I will not cheer against my country. I hope things work out beneficially for all Americans in spite of DT and his stupidity.
Hey Roy that business smarts you are writing about is that derived from practical experience and/or education? Is it all on the job training and experience or do you have a degree in business? Or maybe you took some jr college classes? Or simply the school of hard knocks. I, myself have both, granted my degrees are getting old and I have forgotten most of everything I don't currently use. But, I am curious.Comment -

#8I know it blows their heads up when I say thanks Obama, but it's true. Obama enjoyed positive employment numbers
through most of his 8 years. He handed off a great ball, all Trump had to do was run with it.
Before Trump got in, there were hiring signs all over the place. Even w/o tax cuts, jobs would still be in demand.
Tax cuts did nothing but appease their donors as witnessed by the donors publically saying no money if tax cuts
weren't done. Conceived and connived behind closed doors making sure they had enough votes to pass before
bringing to the floor. Amendments from the Dems refused knowing not one Dem would vote for and not needed.
They were rewarded with mass amounts of money for their campaign coffers. Really sounds like a party for the "people".Comment -

When we discuss business I try to explain to you in detail why my argument is what it is. I don't run to my degree or professional career. You said you can't believe how stupid people are. I feel the same way when we talked taxes. Trump for all his faults gets it on taxes. And it's so simple that I wonder if I'm really brilliant or are you guys just dumb?
My company had millions trapped offshore because of liberal tax policy that prevented us from bring it home. So what did we do? Invested in real estate in foreign countries.
Remember yesterday I asked you what benefit the US gets when we force a company out and then buy the same product they produce as an import?(asked you twice, you ignored them both) Same question on taxes, what benefit does the US get when it forces foreign generated profits to remain outside the US? To me I would think a 2nd grader could conclude a beneficial answer. But liberals can not.Comment -

Still on the board so technically I do have to work 8 days a year(shareholder meetings). Worked my way through school without a dime from my parents or the government. "Worked" as in worked a full time job. You?

It is much like bragging you were a HS qb and unable to tell the number of players on the offensive side of the ball. Makes no sense, the guys that actually played almost never comment on their career. They did it, they have pride in it and they keep it quiet. I know that for a fact.Comment -

#23I told this story before so forgive me if you heard it. For nearly two decades I took action for a bookie in his pool hall. But, it was not on the phone, you needed to come into the joint go into the back room give me your slip with your pieces written on it. I would record it in the book receive the money and the transaction was over. Since it was a basic pool/card room almost all players hung around watching TV, playing cards, drinking coffee, playing the poker machines and other crap. The point is you get to know these guys, and know most of them very well.
I would estimate that at least 50% of them played ball either in HS or college, in fact, two played professional ball. One for the NY Giants and the Minn Vikings, the other was a pitcher for the St Louis Cardinals. He was a bit of a hand job but they hardly ever spoke about their careers, you needed to ask them questions and they were still reluctant to speak.
That is one reason I knew Dwighite's story about being a HS QB was BS. First, he didn't graduate HS and second the only balls he ever played with were his own.Comment -

Dwightie, why not tell us a few stories concerning you HS QB career. You know how you tossed the winning hail mary pass against your biggest rival. Or the time you got hit so hard it caused severe mental problems. That one I would believe.
When you are finished you can tell us again about the 30 Samsung 65" 4K tv's located in your office. Your make-believe office that is. Why not tell us what you do in that office.
