Kelly I don't think Americans in general want their president to fail. Obviously you guys do. I'm sure some on the far right wanted Obama to fail too.

I thought Obama was going to be a moderate and I think a lot of folks did. His initial message was working together. Obama's message was just a sales job, a con. He had no intention of negotiating with moderates or republicans on anything. And didn't.

It's truly unfortunate the butt hurts are so butt hurt because this is as moderate of republican as you will ever see.

Important to keep in mind that republicans resisted against a very unpopular Obama agenda. An agenda that has cost the democrats 1000+ seats. Resisting Trump's populace and moderate agenda along with the violence and ISIS outfits makes you guys look like fools.

I've worked with a mix of smart and dumb people in every field I've been involved with in my years on earth so there is no job free of it...in my opinion. But to the point of military applicants yes plenty of odd balls and idiots but overall some great quality people. You have your one enlistment slackers and the career just get by types too. Many do join and pick an easy job to get college paid for or just to get out of small towns where no other opportunity to scale up in life exists.

I personally hated the young guys who came in looking to play out a video game type experience...mostly they got booted early though thank god. As far as "smart" goes....depends on definition. I'd take the high school c student who did his job best and had fun without complaining and could work out some on the fly problems and be a team player over a book smart guy who couldn't execute a simple stake and barely kept up at PT anyday though. All about where you fit in I guess.

i maxed the asvab twice. Got told by a full bird to consider going to ocs. My younger cousin is at Langley as we speak. Another is a col. in the army. Great grandfather was col. in ww1. Had 13 relatives that have been officers in the service. I just always had a problem taking orders. That is why most my life I was self employed or a partner.
