Two weeks before he was fired, Michael Atkinson wrote a letter to Chuck Schumer saying the last six months had been “a searing time for whistleblowers,” and rebuked public officials who fail to defend whistleblowers when the stakes are highest.
Atkinson, who Trump fired last night, also revealed that the ICIG had begun an awareness campaign at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence “to inform the ODNI’s workforce of their legal right to make protected disclosures anonymously and free from reprisals.”

As per usual this appalling example of our species doesn't think beyond himself. He'll be okay because he's young and healthy so there's no issue. Never mind his parents and parents in law or elderly neighbors or others he comes into contact with who may be asthma sufferers etc.
I didn't suggest he go to NY to get infected. (He could do that wherever he is able to flout the social distancing rules.) I suggested he go to get some first hand knowledge by seeing for himself how things are, including the refrigerated trucks full of bodies, the staff without adequate protective equipment etc.

It’s no different than if I could infect anyone with anything ....I don’t hug or cough on old people anyway and I have always washed my hands. I’ve not been to NY during it but I’ve seen Houston’s area of cases and Dallas as well. Been at the hospital.Have a friend who has a remediation company that worked on the ATT building in Nashville last week when they had cases. I’m not just reading Twitter. You would be right though if only sourcing was the video loops on the news and pundit tweets....seems like Armageddon. Saw an idiot on FB the other day post there were tanks in the street in Memphis he got scared because he hadn’t left his house in 8 days and thought it was true when he saw someone else post it. People are too panicky. Same goes for the state shelter in place lockdowns - news seems ominous but if you read the orders they say you’re good to go get food gas buy hardware materials and shop at stores still open. And you act as if the virus just disappears if we hide out ....they are still figuring it out but I’m sure it’s going to be like most viruses- piggy backs and let’s low in the body until time to pop back up. Stop the craziness and blaming for a second and think like a mature adult and you’ll see my point. I have trouble following.....now you’re saying follow Dr Fauci and CDC yet as late as Jan 21 they said US won’t have a problem it won’t spread here. They also initially said don’t wear masks they were ineffective now they say wear them and also have updated to say wear only non surgical masks. The truth is nobody knows exactly what to do so you can’t say Trump is wrong to disagree with the experts when the experts have been wrong. You base everything off politics. Just use common sense. Of course let’s don’t have a 25 person meeting in a closed room and cough on the food or go visit the elderly in care but day to day things are not a death warrant. The beds being set up in cities haven’t had to be utilized yet - proper planning.....ventilators aren’t exceeded yet- predictions and planning.....all I’m saying is distinguish between reality and worse case fears.Comment
