WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign is set to report that it raised more than $30 million in the first quarter of 2019, edging out his top two Democratic rivals combined, according to figures it provided to The Associated Press.

The haul brings the campaign’s cash on hand to $40.8 million, an unprecedented war chest for an incumbent president this early in a campaign.
I wonder how much was siphoned off into Donnie's pocket, before they got to the 40.8 mil....

Soros, Bezos, steyer and then about 20 MSNBC and liberal reporters. That’s the war chest.

Amazing how he bootstrapped in 16 and had zero infrastructure yet destroyed all primary opponents then stopped the Clinton machine. Imagine what he’ll do with money and staff this time.

Pulitzer to my NYT colleagues for proving that Trump probably committed criminal tax fraud and that he is daddy-made, not self-made, to the tune of many hundreds of millions of dollars. If you did't read it then, please read it now.

Is anybody the least bit surprised?
Pretty fukking bad you stiff on donations, I'll bet he claimed that on his taxes which is double dickheadedness.

Absolutely not. I think campaigns should be limited to 10 weeks and come up with some model on the spending but that should suffice. Part of the reason so many liberals hated Trump winning is it cost them $$$$ not having the consulting and advising and spokesperson jobs anymore. I’m not against people making money but I can’t say I’m not happy when some of these career consultants take a pay cut. I’m sure you’ll agree it’s not cool for them to be charging 6 futures to the campaigns that get donated to by their pals to pay them while volunteers and real voters from the states knock on doors and do the real work for free or crumbs?

What @RepMarkMeadows doesn't know is that I spent the first 12 months after leaving govt trying to persuade government watchdogs to oppose OGE having investigative authority.

Then I gave up hope that members like Rep. Meadows would ever put country before party and do their jobs.

What's interesting, though, is that @RepMarkMeadows opposes giving OGE investigative authority -- you know, now that Trump is President. For Rep. Meadows, it seems, corruption is tolerable if he likes the President.

In a letter sent Monday to the senators who filed the ethics complaints, Mary L. Kendall, the deputy inspector general of the Interior Department, wrote that she had received seven complaints from “a wide assortment of complainants alleging various conflicts of interest and other violations” by Mr. Bernhardt, adding that she had “opened an investigation to address them.”

Our country has a “justice” system that criminalizes poverty + disproportionately targets race, yet routinely pardons large-scale crimes of wealth and privilege. Moments like these tell us it’s less a justice system, and more a class enforcement system.
