All day leading up to the convention speeches Chris Matthews and his little groups brought up several times that the Republican party talk 'in code' and that they have a problem that no blacks or women relate to them...

Fast forward to the convention starting....

MSNBC either broke away totally or muted the entire speeches by Artur Davis (a black man who spoke for Obama's campaign in 2008), Mia Love of Utah (a black woman running for a GOP congressional seat), Governor of PR's wife Luce' was knocked off air, newly elected Texas Tea Party backed Ted Cruz a hispanic republican, and Nevada's Gov Sandoval another republican hispanic was also 'blacked out' no pun intended.

So pretty much MSNBC has pounded to its viewers that there is just no way a black or hispanic man or woman will be in the GOP camp vs Obama and to make their normal self fulfilling narrative take form on Wed night they just edited them all out so noone would see and question them as the 5 liberal pundits talked with each other about how they as Democrats aren't satisfied with the Republican agenda

I noticed this also. CNN did the same thing during the Davis speech.
Horrible, but I'm sure everyone just changed the channel to real news network coverage.

You know I don't listen to Fox or MSNBC. I do listen to the major networks I do listen to public tv and I do read many of the major periodicals. I'm not saying FOX is not biased...there are tons of posts in the past of me saying they are definitely for the right...that is my point today. I don't watch them much but instead DVR MSNBC and Current as well as ANderson Cooper so I'm no FOx news loyalist if that is what you mean. Point is they are vastly outnumbered and the others seek to try and silence them because they don't parrot the rest of the media narratives. I'm all for free speech and letting ALL sides get out their message and let people judge on their own.....thats why its ironic that MSNBC has to block out the speeches from minorities at the RNC so they can keep pushing that all RNC attendees are racists.

Actually, if you read Bill's book from last year "Back to Work" he calls for directly the opposite of Obama's plans....of course it has to be noted that todays economy is not the 90's economy in terms of what drivers you account for...but with that said Clinton credits Ronald Reagan for his efforts at deregulation which helped him be able to implement some things once he followed and he also admits he was lucky to preside over the nation at the time of the tech revolution and that W Bush was more unlucky in that 9-11 was a huge market hit and that the 2008 financial crises is to blame on both deregulation manipulation AND Govt's push for the housing loans to everyone with a pulse.

Here is the kicker - Clinton wants corporate profits overseas to be repatriated for FREE, 0 taxes to bring it back (same as Romney) and he also calls for loop hole closures in the tax code which will be a revenue generator while broadening the tax base but keeping rates unchanged on the actual brackets - again a Romney point not Obama.

So you think the fed will raise interest rates next year? I read an article stating the fed has publicly said it will not raise interest rates until 2014. Could you explain what you mean? I was thinking of buying a house in the next year or two.

Bernanke said a month or so ago that they would extend "Operation Twist" through '14 but in the matrix of confusion that we have with the monetary system he's going to get push back from Congress on QE3 soon....you can only maintain these near zero rates for so long in reality and the Fed will almost HAVE to increase its balance sheet to keep pace in a few months even though they've said they would like to keep Treasuries sales as they are (which means less assets). It helps you and me who buy cars or houses etc....but Govt steadily borrowing each month to keep up the image....China and others are going to start negotiating in these prices on debt to get a better deal.
