Pot Limit Poker at full tilt
    pot limit gm

    example does not consider rake

pot cotains $200 on the river ....player A bets $100 making the pot $300..........player B raises to $400

this seemed strange how a player could bet $400 into a $300 pot @PL game........then i was told that player B's call on the river is automatically included in the pot allowing him to overbet the pot

This is the only room that I have ever come accross that play pot limit this way...........

I guess my question is how do they play this in vegas at the wsop and other spots///i always thought pot limit was just as the name implied? and this does call for a diff tactic on the river as your often better check calling aswell as making the odds a little better to suckout if you think you could get called

Damn, I can't put this into words correct.

When Player A bets - the bet is 100$ and the Pot is is then 300$ - player B can then bet the pot, which includes the 100$ he has to put into the pot to even out player a's bet - which then is included in the raising amount.

You explained what SHOULD happen in that spot.

McBa1n's definition is pretty much spot on, but let me reword it a bit.

When Player A bets - the bet is 100$ and the Pot is is then 300$ - player B can then raise the amount of the pot ($300). He would then be calling A's bet of $100 and be raising $300, for a total of $400.

scotty11, that is standard for pot limit games both online and casinos. And as dvorak51 and McBa1n. If you play enough you start to forget that anyone could think any other way, but takes time.
