because if you did have a Q you would have bet after the turn. not check and then just call a lousy $14 bet....
you checked down every card until after the river and he had you by the nuts at that point anyway. he was aggressive enough and smarter then you. he knew you didn't have a Q, K or a 5.

Kudos for his play. You should have bet or re raised after the turn with your hand to get a read instead of waiting at the end after the river.
