first off I am new here and am very happy to have found this site.
i finally decided to give online poker (for real money) a whirl. i signed up with betonline.ag. i've made a deposit which is being held in my sports account and am being told there is a glitch in the system preventing it from being transferred to my poker account. Been 2 days, but I'll give them a chance. (though what I've since read about them is quite scary so lets see how that goes).
in the meantime, i also signed up with cake poker. there i've also made a deposit which went through successfully but for some reason is not reflecting in the account. i sent an email and am being asked to scan my card statement which shows the charge. this sounds a little fishy to me.
i live in the the united states (florida). is there no safe place for me to sign up and play some texas hold'em for real money without having to worry about losing my money to anyone other than a better player?
any of you live in the states and play? all i get are mixed reviews on websites which look to be operated by the poker companies themselves. i am really eager to play. some real first hand advice would go a long way! thanks!
