New Person Need Help

Im new to sbr and not sure what is meant by free poker tourney as all I see listed are buy in amounts in the form of sbr points . I guess the question is can you play with real money or is sbr points the tender used ? If sbr points are the only tender used were are the free tourneys at? I dont see a way to gain points if everything you do poker,sports book all require points to play how do you get started?
I am confused as you can tell by reading this but this site seems very cool and i would like to place some bets and play some poker but no points seems to mean no play so any advice on getting points or if free poker play is actually free please help me get started and thanks in advance for your help.

First off... WELCOME.

The poker tournies are free to SBR PROS (requires minimum $200 deposit thru Go Pro SBR link to sponsored books).

Pros get 12pts a day for signing in to SBR forum, Non-pros only get 6.

SBR points are indeed the currency here but if you're from outside the USA, you can use real money to buy points and fund your SBR account that way.

Non-Pros must buy-in to the tournies and can only play ring games with "poker points" won from those tournies.

Also, you can accumulate points as a Non-pro (signing into forum daily, getting 6 pts, betting in SBR sportsbook, playing tournies, etc.) but they're not much use to you unless you become a Pro... as your options in the SBR store are extremely limited (like a hat and shirt, IIRC).

Max points you can accumulate and KEEP while finally turning Pro... 5,000

I've been here 7 months and I highly recommend if you can GO PRO... DO IT.

Thanks ! That explains everything even though I did not explain myself very well. I have one additional question, I did not get any points today for posting and logging in to the forum although I might have logged in after midnight on 3/16 so that may be the issue. Thanks again for your response !!
