    Million Buy-In WSOP Event
The following players have committed to play in the Big One for One Drop (not all players have permitted the WSOP to publish their names):

    Guy Laliberté
Bobby Baldwin (CEO of MGM-Mirage Resorts and four-time WSOP bracelet winner)
Phil Ruffin (owner of Treasure Island Resort of Las Vegas)
    Andy Beal
    Patrik Antonius
    Gus Hansen
    Daniel Negreanu
    Johnny Chan
    Tom Dwan
    Antanas “Tony G” Guoga
    Jonathan Duhamel
    Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier
    Dan Shak
Montreal Group seat (organized by Sean O’Donnell, friend of Laliberté)
    Loto-Québec satellite seat
    Caesars satellite seat
    European satellite seat

So far 22 people have committed. The plan is to pay out 20%, and the winner will probably eclipse Jaime Gold's $12 million WSOP win.

I'd actually do it with $50M for the first ever one of these things. The Prestige of winning it, well worth it. Plus with very few players your chances of cashing aren't bad at all. Plus you're a millionaire already so who cares about a one time financially silly decision? Not like buying in for a grand to a MTT when your net worth is 50 grand.

Maybe the rich whales like Laliberte have 100% of themselves but the poker players no doubt all have pieces of each other.

Guy Laliberté is the head man of Cirque du Soleil.
He's the one pretty much backing Madonnas half time Super Bowl show.
He pretty much backed Michael Jackson's last tour.

He gives more money to charity, mainly poverty, then every poster in this thread will see ever make in their lifetime combined.

Oh, I almost forgot, Guy made the final table at WPT Vegas event, he's got major game.

              The guy is a Saint.

I'm guessing reading comprehension is not your strong suit.I'll make it easier for you.

A.Guy Laliberte might be the only one with enough money to play in this game.

B.All the poker players have to sell pieces of themselves in order to make playing a million dollar buy in affordable.

Yea, I think almost all the poker players will have some type of backing; that's just way too much coin to drop on any tournament without some pieces of you spread out. But the 20% payout is sweet, and will for sure attract more people .... once they get confirmed backers.

I like Guy Laliberte, he's a funny dude that does a lot of charties. I would have LOVED Laliberte if I was a high stakes player on FullTilt from 2007-demise. The dude donk'd off something like $25 million to the high stakes pros.

Actually reading comprehension is a strong suit of mine.

Maybe I was just reinforcing your post Mike.

                    Thanks for stopping by though.
