Extra Ev value against those just looking to cash?

With the focus of the next grand MTT at SBR focusing on number of cashes; is their more EV playing to win and not to cash? IMO if I recognize an opponent as a regular Im going to push even harder. Reasoning is that the last thing people grinding towards the money want to do is to flip for their life.

LOL, I see that as your basic style already. It is essentially like pushing hard at the bubble.

The overall problem I see with the "strategies" to win at the average SBR tourney is that is so turboo-like that people are pushing/calling with a wide range.

Granted there are some people who get down to 1-5blinds but those people are not going to be affected by your style here because they already know the range of hands they are going to push/call with and therefore it is irelevant to what they are going to do based on whether you try to push them or not.
