sin: 35000 in 2 tourneys.

Nobody would discount someone's WSOP Main Event winnings in a yearly tournament leaderboard. I agree that the one-hit wonders might be a flash in the pan, but these are top 'tournament winnings' not power ratings. The SBR Poker.com chart lists total # of cashes.

No --- the list is of the top 2011 SBR Poker Tourney winners. Winnings from promos like Royal Flushes, ring games etc aren't counted as poker tournament winnings.

You should have a list of all poker related winnings. I'm pretty sure john_morisson is #1 based on how much he makes at ring games.

agree

i should also not get credit for 5k for a royal as it has nothing to do with winning tourneys.

the leaders can never be caught

we need to start fresh from a date and go forward with a leaderboard type of contest.

Anyway, the reason you have precisely, 6,450 poker points and not a penny less or more.....

Again, there is absolutely no possibility that anything other than 'tournament points' are recorded in these stats.

Plus, there's no chance 5,000 could've been in there anyway. Just from the signature we know 2,500. 2,500+5,000 would be 7,500, more than the stated total.

like i said i didn't remember winning that many

heck i didn't even make team USA for the ryder cup

yet i won almost 3k in points from other tourneys?

trying to find out how to look for the credits for those points won

The big points were from the Saturday tournaments.

Ryder Cup counted only the WSOP qualifier tournaments which paid out a lot less (500 to winner, 250 to runner-up, 100 to third place).

You didn't make the Ryder Cup team because you're a USA player, and to make the USA team, a lot more points were required. Looks like you had 1,100, and 1,600 was necessary. Lot of players with over 1,000 points missed due to the tough USA competition.

ok well i still say if we are going to have a leaderboard contest like this it should start fresh

those tourneys that paid 10k in points dont exist anymore.

just a suggestion

it will be impossible to catch anyone when they pay 700 points to win

We're going to roll out monthly competitions and leaderboards too. This list though is specifically for 2011 Tournament winners, which is inclusive of all tournaments that pay SBR Points that take place in 2011.

A list like this may get the competitive juices flowing for many players; I know I'll be shooting for a top 20 year-end finish.

An interesting list, although much harder to compile, would be the top 100 posters by average (weighted by prize?) tourney finish percentile (assuming at least 10 tourneys or something). I think that would serve as a decent "ranking" metric.

There needs to be a different list with Ring Table winners. Because it's a different strategy when you risk your own points than trying to win points at a tourney without risking any points.

You are right
i should have won the first tourny but i got a cold deck.so i should have like another 10000 points.
i thnik all this would have been avoided it from the start of the year this anouncemnt was made.
is not my intention to upset anyone, but i won those points in fair competition.
