    Where do you want the madmen?
    In a NL cash game, do you want the maniacs to your left so they can bet your hand for you or to your right so you can isolate on them?

    This is one of the few times that I believe the stock answer is nearly 100% correct:

    You want the maniacs on your right.

            I agree that it's easier to play with them on your right, but when they are on your left it sometimes results in a multi-way pot by the time the action gets back to you. If you're playing a hand that could turn into a monster you can really do some damage. I actually don't mind getting raised by a maniac in that situation. It's easy to escape if you whiff the flop and get pressure, and you can be sure that somebody will bet for you if you hit and choose to slowplay.
