I think the problem with the Ryder Cup is the lack of notice; it seems like a good portion of SBR Pros didn't even know it was going on until it was too late (I myself jumped right back into the tourneys when I saw the Ryder Cup post).

The Ryder Cup itself isn't a bad idea imo, I'm sure if everyone understood it beforehand, there would be no qualms with battling it out for a spot. In addition, I'm willing to wager that Ryder Cup has similar EV as the other poker series (if not, better depending on your region); it's not very different from the "Saturday Champions Tourney" in February.

Yeah, I didn't either till late.

Maybe could have done with a bit more promotion, maybe on the main page. Higher limits in the book perhaps, possibly gets more people to watch and comment on it.

ditto- i definitely missed way more tournaments than i played in the qualifying month.

its 3 days, relax guy/s. first prize is roughly how much you got for being around when a royal flush hit. not everybody got a piece of that either.

these tournaments are extra- despite only being extra for some.

i liked stash's idea of the winning team's inhabitants getting a tournament just for them but even if you get nothing then its the same nothing you would get if there were just no tournaments for a few days.

Well that's not entirely true, lou made a post that the SBR sportsbook and poker would be closed for, I think it was 8 days after Ryder Cup was done. Upgrades or some such nonsense.

The Ryder Cup was a cool idea, it would of been a better idea if I had made the team..lol, but without poker for the rest of us feels like we were just left out in the cold.

Congrats DS on going 2 for 2! I still think USA has too much depth and is going to pull out the victory.
