Why did the starting chips change from 3500 to 3000?

I just noticed the starting stacks have changed.

What's up with that? the blind structure is already close to a turbo. Why lower the starting stacks?



I guess it will be close to a coinflip for $10,000.

Oh come on guys. Really taking away 500 chips. In this type of event you want breathing room, standard stack should be 5-10k. 3.5 was rough but it at least way better than nothing. The reason to give a slightly bigger starting stack is so bad players are more likely to chase & maniacs are more likely to bluff.

Makes the game more fun & more like real poker.

lol, turbo is not real poker but your point is basically valid. either way, the starting stack size should be larger, not smaller in my opinion.

Hi guys,

Once a tournament has one player enter, no details can be changed. What you guys initially saw was the tournament locked with 0 players in it. After consultation, the decision was made to release the password once the structure was set with 3,000 chips and 9 minute blinds.
