    NYC poker rooms
I am in NYC and was wondering if anyone here knew of a good poker room to play at that hasn’t been raided.

biggs, I'd say your best bet is AC or Foxwoods. It's not that far and it's worth the trip to keep it legal. I've played some underground rooms around NC, Texas and Florida, your better off when you're that close to go to a ligit casino. If you insist on going that route, I'd use AC and Foxwoods as finding the contacts since most that I know are exclusive and need invites. Good luck

I can speak about Foxwoods. It's advertised as the biggest room outside of Las Vegas, and I believe it since there are about 200 tables spread. The majority of the room is now smoke-free, which is a huge improvement, IMO.

Don't go there thinking that you can see the local sights in case you lose interest in the casino. There are no local sights.

Waiting is inevitable outside of Vegas. Lived there a year and even in Vegas I've seen waiting lines at times. I'd just hop next store to find my game. Vegas is by far the best place on earth, especially for poker. AC and Foxwoods is busy on weekends, not as much on weekdays. To the original question, I'd go on a weekday to play but weekend to find the information about NYC poker rooms. Chat while you are waiting to be seated. Good luck
