how long to build a bankroll from 100?
im winning player currently at 5nl, 18bb/100 atm since i redeposited after a few months of studying but im expecting that to go down to 3/4 obv with a bigger sample, how long would it take roughly to reach 1k?

im sticking with 20 bi as my bankroll management do you think i shud be more flexible with it?

Your sample is probably not big enough... because 18 bb / 100 is impossible on long term same at low limit.

5 % of your bankroll is good for a buy-in. Always play fullstack at the table and auto-reload for start each hand at 5$ +

The time it will take you depnd of alot of factor... how many hour are playing each day ? how many table are you playing at the same time.? can you keep a good bb / 100 on a good sample..

nobody can say you when you will have 1000$ if dont give us these information...

          Good luck anyway...

P.S on wich site are you playing. Fulltilt ? , Pokerstars ?
P.S. Im not good in english. I apologize for any error in my post.

              whats that shit.

Asking him to play 25% of his bankroll on 1 buyin

and winning at nl5 doesnt mean you will win at nl25....really not the same game.

that does seem a bit unreal to step up to $25 from $5 with a $100 bankroll unless you are telling him to deposit more money which also seems a bad idea he should stick with what he is comfortable with as his bankroll and build like the title suggests.

                    If you're playing Full Ring tables, you can sit NL10 with $100, NL25 with $400, NL50 with $1000, NL100 with $4000.

20BI is good. As far as how long it will take it's pretty simple. If you win at 3BB/100 hands you just calculate how long it takes you to play 100 hands. Then you know how often you are making 3BB. Once you've figured this out find out how long it will take you to get a BR big enough to play at the next level. If you can continue to win at 3BB/100 then make the same calculation or if you have info that shows you make slightly less calculate that. The problem is you will have a lot of variance, but if your win rate is 3BB/100 that will be a rough estimate of how long it will take.

if yur the kind of player who is tilting easily. Just play a less percentage of your bankroll for each buy (2-3%)

Unless you are a kid or a worthless degenerate, get a bigger bankroll.

I say this because it is probably not worth your time to grind 5NL. Any one with a brain, patience and tilt control can crush 25NL. You should begin your poker voyage there.

I am newly employed and I almost feel like playing .25/.5 is a waste of my time. It is a grind, and if you grind out even $15 an hour is it worth it? Additionally "grinding" usually does not mean after a 4 hour session you now have made $15*4. Typically you try to minimize the amount of money you lose while hoping you get paid off and get cash infusions when you hit your sets (1/9), flushes, and abusing the fuk out of other players mistakes...

So all in all, scrounge up $400 and play ABC poker at 25NL. Play 2-4 tables max, you'll be fine. Don't waste your time with anything lower than $400.

it took about 8 ,pmths so far to from 0 to 3500.
i play a lot of frerolls and SBR is the biggest reason, making good showings in february an some in april and also play some live 1 2 very profitable.
i m not where i want to be but mixing sng and torunaments is better than cash games only.
