SBR Poker Leage, Gauging Interest

Just an email gauging if there is any interest in everyone pooling some points for some sort of Poker League type ordeeal.

Not starting this week but next.

My brief idea and please feel free to make suggestions/ideas.

Using Monday thru Thursday tournaments.

Standing are calculated using tourney standing. ie....1st place in 90 person tourney =90 points.. 2nd=89 last=1.

Should be four more weeks in March. depending on number of entries we do 15% of overall pool for each weekly leader and 40% remaining to overall.

All money would have to be pooled prior to entry and we could hold it with one of the reliable posters...IE dngf, chachi, thad are a couple that come to mind.

Entry fee could be whatever we want, 50, 100, 200, etc.

We could get Mod or someone to post official standing to a thread so scores could be calculated.


Again this is not sign up or anything but instead an interest list to see if anyone is interested.

We could also look at setting something with teams, or anything else. Please give me any thoughts.

I planned on screenshotting the finished tournies this month and scoring them for S's and giggles after the talk about doing it last month. Just the 90-mans though. Top 20 only, 1 point for 20th-20 for 1st.

Well I'd be down. Never finished worst then 15th and made some Final Tables. Everytime I got it in for the chip lead or an auto top 5 stack I've been 2 outted. Sign me up! I'd actually have to try and play everyday though which is fine. Wish there was still those later tourneys though.

Just thinking about it though the problem is everyone in the league would have to be able to get in, these tourneys fill up extremely quick as they are now and I still don't know when reg begins. Maybe it could be like based on top 5 scores etc. Just typing late and throwing out ideas. I also like the top 20 idea b/c two middle place finishes for 45 points would equal a outright win of 90 points.

Can't get people to play the table games. I can't understand why people are not playing NL Hold'em at the tables. Only seems to be interest in tourney's.
