I went on a Sit and Go tourney for the first time on Bodog recently, and after it started, there were 3 or 4 out of the ten players sitting out. That seems kind of unfair when people are risking their chips, but they are just sitting back and get a chance at a reward. I lost on an all in before it really mattered anyway, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, or if other sites had controls or regulations regarding this?

I don't really see this as an issue on pokerstars.
Have noticed it on Bodog also, like you. Rarely do they make the money though.
As far as I know there are no rules against this. They paid their money. Same thing as folding every hand.Comment -
i don't think the sites can do anything about it. anyone who does that is retarded because chances are they'd get blinded out before the money anyways.Comment -
I really don't know anything about SNG's but maybe you should just tighten up until the blinds increase? Players sitting out of the games is extremely exploitable so I don't see how you can't be +ev in these.Comment -
I would LOVE for 3 players to sit out of a 9 man SNG. Maybe I need to get some money back on bodog.
Even if they're just sitting out a couple levels before they sit back in, at least I can then treat the game as short-handed and treat their seat as empty, which I couldn't do if they were sitting in and folding every hand.Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.Comment -
that is a blessing to have players sitting out. They cant make the money just sitting out. Even if they make it close usually players will play tight toward the end to allow them to be blinded out.Comment -
