I was a bit confused at you and a few others who picked 38 as winning team total. There are 144 points awarded overall in World Cup so average 36 per team. For the winning team to only get 38 would mean an insanely tight contest from top to bottom.

Not to say that couldn't happen, but doesn't seem very likely! I can't imagine not picking at least 40 for the winning team.

Yeah, tbh I didn't do the math at all lol. Just picked some numbers since it was very unlikely to matter and I'm lazy. But yes, mine were not good numbers by any sort of logical standard, and I would have actually thought about it and chosen different numbers if more was at stake
