Sorry, should have been more specific; I meant the World Cup format in general is much improved over the old, old days when it was US/Canada/Europe/World despite most players being from US.

The daily format changes are pretty good imo too though; turbos shoudln't last too long and payout structures shouldn't pay half the field, and SBR made big improvements in those directions. Plenty of chance for skill to shine through in the mid- to long-run with a wide range of formats, just requires different skills (or the most important skill, adjusting).

It’s a fuk’in 1k short stack donk ass shove fest with a preset, predetermined, prepicked winner every fuk’in time!

Format changes? Really Trip, why are you pandering to this fuk’in joke ass software and these ridiculously stupid bullshit “format” changes? Let’s see, these morons reduced the places payed out on the dailies, reduced the payouts which killed the action at the cash tables! At least if a guy finished 10th, he had 20 poker points to go throw down on a few hands.

The fuk’in top 6 payout spread is so damn far apart, you’re fuk’ed if you don’t win several 1st and 2nd place finishes. 40 fuk’in jack ass poker points doesn’t help you for shit when you’re chasing some lucky fuk who’s cashed 10 to 15 times and a third of those are 1st places.

Format changes don’t work for shit when they’re a move in the opposite direction and effectively result in making shit worse than it was before. Yeah, I agree they fuk’in finally added an additional US team, but only after years of us explaining how fuk’in unfair it was try’in to make a US team verses the World or Canadian teams.

Bottom line bro, I’ve done the homework and research. All the shitty format changes don’t amount to nothing, because the software is still the same piece of rigged shit they’ve used for years. I’ve played thousands of hands here, kept notes on competitors playing styles, win ratios of pros vs non pros, noobs vs veteran players and analyzed hundreds of hand histories.

It’s like owning a shitty old outdated cell phone you should’ve upgraded years ago. You know it’s every little bug and glitch, the terrible reception, old, weak ass features, crappy camera, and inability to run newer apps. Yeah, you can still make calls on it, but what a piece of shit you own cause you’re too fuk’in cheap and ignorant to upgrade it. That’s SBR bullshit Poker.

Yeah the Regions/World format is MUCH better. With how tough it is, can you imagine this year trying to qualify. I don't how else you'd improve it, if at all. East is def the toughest but I enjoy a challenge.

I didn't play the other challenges this year because the points just aren't worth it to me and the series were too short for variance. I only did this one because I love the World Cup.

No pandering mikey, just stating the truth as I see it. Is SBR poker everything we could possibly want? Nope....but let's be fair here: SBR is throwing a lot of resources at it (labor and betpoints), quite probably more than it's actually worth to them. We don't know what constraints SBR has for which changes can be made, but the fact that they've made some decent changes to the formats is a good sign they're listening.

I don't agree on paying 12 people and spreading the points thinner; it certainly does spread the points around, but it turns a tournament into a joke when half the field (or more!) ends up being paid. As far as software favoring certain players, if there's any evidence of it, I've yet to see it. The people I see doing well consistently (long-term, not just for a month or a series) are people I would expect to do well based on their skill.

Honestly, for as much trouble as it must be to run the poker program and as much grief as they get for giving away so many points, I'm happy SBR continues to run poker at all!
