I think you HAVE to bet something on the flop to see where you are at, especially with your position. Jake with a classic overbet, might have had 2 pair or a lower set.

I distinctly remember pondering over why Jake gets aggressive when the 2 hit on the turn.

To me, it appeared that Jake flopped the straight.
