    Tournament Q: Flopping 2pair on All-Diamond board
    Does this action merit a Call? Or a Fold?

    Blinds are 20/40, heads-up. Opponent raises to 100. I call. Pot is 200.

    Flop comes all Diamonds. I catch 2pair (no diamonds).

    Raiser bets 100, I raise to 300. Raiser goes all-in, 1200.

    Pot is now 1700. 900 to call it, I'm catching almost 2/1 odds (+189).

    I'm not just giving him credit for a flopped Flush. Certainly, he's doing that w/ more than just a made hand.

    What hands is he taking this aggressive action with?

    * Overpairs
    * Sets
    * Other 2pairs
    * Combo draws
    - Pair + FlushDraw
    - Straight/Flush Draw
    - Overs w/ NutDraw (to A-Diam or K-Diam)
    Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

    Back to my original question. Am I getting fair odds here, at almost 2/1?

    My feeling is that I am. There are enuf hands where I'm ahead or catching the right price.

    I just don't think I should be folding here. It's also possible Raiser is doing that w/ just TPTK.

      Risk vs reward. Early in tournament. Nothing to gain

        I should clarify. Heads-up Turbo. Not really enuf time to wait.

        So, it's always late. Just want to know if you think I'm catching fair value vs his range.

        I think am. I think they're making that move w/ hands like Top Pair + overWhichIsADiamond.

            I would put them on a pair with a high flush draw. Yeah I think this call would be dependent on chip count and period in tourney.

                What's the exact board and your hand? Quite a bit of difference between an A high flop and a T high one.

                  I would call, he would have 1 diamond, the river would make his flush, I would lose. End of story.

                    Id move in with a flush on flop if the top card isnt that high, thats one reason a person would.

                      Chuckster it's hard to say without info on how he's been playing but I would generally say you need to call the tiny flop bet and re-evaluate on turn. Unless he outflopped you a raise on the turn should shut him down. A lot harder to make his push with one to come on such a wet board.
