#107I think it would be nice to get all the attendees at the same poker table for a couple hours.
It should be possible to rent a table and dealer in a poker room and have a private table to play a sit n go or cash game
All of you should check out www.bravopokerlive.com/venues/ and put the app on your phone.
Private cash game in a public casino is against the law in Nevada so that won't happen. If you get 9 guys together at the same time to open a table they will do it as long as they've got one and a dealer. As soon as someone leaves any joe public can crash the party though.
"Custom" sit and go tournaments are legal and a few rooms might accommodate but I doubt that time of year unless you really grease the floor. Forget about getting any answers over the phone, Vegas is a face to face cash into pocket kinda place.Comment -

I think Matt and Tatddy both mentioned Sun-Wed and Matt would come Saturday if others are. Funnyb said he booked M-F I think. Think Sin said Sunday arrival. Beer not sure on dates. Oneunder lives there. TripleD said probably just a couple of midweek nights.
Guess I should try to put a list together to help.Last edited by Optional; 05-02-17, 09:23 PM..Comment -

#111Some people have been asking about organizing group events. Personally Jake and I kind of just wanted to keep it cruisey and not make too many plans before getting there but I think it's going to keep coming up, so just as food for thought, this is what I personally have in mind;
Sunday: Pick a casino sportsbook people can head to if they want to meet up and bet on games that afternoon. Once we know how many and who will be where, in the week before we go, maybe book a restaurant or pick a dinner spot for that night.
Monday: Breakfast/Brunch meetup somewhere
Monday night I was thinking we could book at Oscars Steakhouse, should be a good night to get a big table if we need it. I wouldn't mind checking out Freemont Street and some of the tourist stuff in the area afterward. Or play some table games with the lower limits downtown.
Tuesday: Pretty sure that I will want to head to The Rio for the tourney Jake mentioned so figured we could have a meet up there for breakfast/brunch
Wednesday: Pool party, lunch and a Pickleball tournament at The Plaza pool.
And just work it out between ourselves once there apart from that...Last edited by Optional; 05-04-17, 01:43 AM..Comment -

#112I've played the RIO daily tournaments several times. Not sure how the schedule is altered during WSOP.
Have also played tournaments at Sams Town and REd Rock. Red Rock is a great casino and really not a bad drive from Rio. Just drive west about 20 minutes. If u want to get away from some of the Strip traffic, REd Rock is a nice alternative. FWIW, they also have the addictive no-rake Heads-up machines right outside the poker-room. Great sportsbook, too...right o/side poker-room!
If u play at the Rio, I can say that the Viatnamese restaurant just o/side sp'book is pretty good.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

Tuesday: Probably do The Rio breakfast/brunch meetup thing again and play another tourney there that day.
Wednesday: Pool party, lunch and a Pickleball tournament at The Plaza pool.

I'm not sure I like the idea of a private cash game. Personally, I'd rather play with a mix of attendees and tourists..far less planning involved.Comment -

#136I usually do Vegas with 1-2 times a year specifically for pool scenes, and I've found that most of them don't hold up to their advertisements. Way expensive, very limited times when they're hopping, and even then it's usually (predictably) a sausage fest. Have had a better time every time at Flamingo pool than anywhere else I've been, and cheaper too.Comment -

#137Yep, that is $700 CDN (approx. $510 USD) as well! Add the odious "resort fee" and it adds another $180USD but overall not too bad!! :-)Comment -
