I was thinking this right when I saw him post odds on himself. I mean Phil Ivey couldn't guarantee a #1 spot on himself with this type of tournament structure. 5/1 and 3/1 odds on this is unreal. If he was using players to chip dump to him and factoring that in that would help a ton with this type of blind structure. But that was only an accusation with no proof but he hasn't done much after that accusation which doesn't look good. Once the tournament passes 45 minutes it becomes bet and pray. Everyone knows you need to run like God to get in top 3. In this tourney you need to be able to give several bad beats and avoid several as well. For sniper to think he has this much advantage over the field seems odd to me. I'm not saying he's a bad player but you can run like shit in these for several months. It's really hard to get the right variance playing in 1 tournament a day and he says that he misses the 1 tourney as well. Guess will see...

i'd feel real confident too if I was playing a bunch of dumbasses who didn't recognized that four newly created id's without one message posted among them were somehow losing all their chips to me, and i carried that out for 12 months.

fortunately for all those who took those awful line wagers, and unfortunately for the beneficiary of all the horrendous play by these four newly created id's who is on the other side of those wages, sbr is filled with some very bright players who immediately saw something was amiss with the Four Horseman..... who, it should be noted, have played about all of 3-4 trnies among the four of them since the scandal blew wide open....

kudos to our community for sniffing that bullshit out quickly and ending that "situation".....

these guys, who were so gung-ho that they, and the fourth guy i cant recall, all managed to sign up within seconds for the "one a day" trnies back in january, two or three of which some german guy with a scarf won after getting all their chips, haven't played shit since feb 4......

but, I'm sure it was all just a big coincidence......

saddest thing in this story is that sbr wouldn't commit an hour of time to confirm the chip dumps and ban the guy......

and for the record, I expect the guy to bail and never pay anyone shit on their successful wagers.....

Well your #7 post on this thread about sums all this up. Snipe comes on here basically saying that we all suck and he has a huge edge. Hits like crazy in the beginning as you guys snipe his shit out and now he hides under the covers. He really needed to do something for the next 3 months for this not to sum justified. Which he didn't...Then says he only needs to play 1/3 of the tournament to take it down based off his 1st month playing. But wait.... "I'm ready to play 10 in a row" LMFAO.

The majority of his points came in January and he's fallen off a lot since then. It happens every year, you run well at the beginning and see all of the bad players so you assume it's going to be easy. Then you start getting sucked out on every tournament by the bad play and realize it's a crapshoot.

He's logged in 5 times since 3/18 and lost 400 at the ring tables on the 18th.

He only averages a profit of 0.14 per point deposited. So he isn't good at ring tables and loses more points than he deposits.

So for him to even come up with all those points he'd have to cash a lot and rollover at a much better rate, take out a loan (which I doubt anyone would even touch), or win a lot in the book or casino.

Why did you leave out his option of buying pts? Since Sniper is from Germany, he obviously has that option. Sniper already stated he would buy pts if he lost his wagers.

Yes, but let's be realistic here: Someone with 652 posts in nearly 5 years (with a lot of them coming in a month and a half span), who many believe cheated, who doesn't log in even close to daily, who will be far away from #1 after calling every player here bad and saying he'd finish 1st by only playing around 85 tournaments all year, and only posts in the poker forum, when he does post, isn't going to spend a decent chunk of change on points just to pay off bets.

Especially since there is no punishment for not paying them. So he goes from being thought of as a cheater to a stiff and cheater? Big deal.

I made the bet with him because I knew it had no chance of losing, if I get paid then great but I never expected to.

That said, when he does lose if he buys points and pays up I'll apologize without thinking twice.

There is no chance. There were some shady happenings when he was winning, then he stopped playing and stopped logging in. Not to mention Jake started off slow and has done much better. Sniper could play daily now and he wouldn't win, and he's shown no willingness to do so anyway.

As for taking the bet but not expecting payment: I knew Jake would win the annual leaderboard so there was never a chance of losing. I looked at it as freerolling sniper as he had no chance of winning.

As for that, I laughed when I saw that post and still think it's BS. A simple search of him shows his picture was from a win years ago and he hasn't placed much, if any, at all since (I did the search months ago so don't remember exactly).

I call bullshit on being a professional, as he could easily just add in the SBR table to his others. Plus, if he is good enough to make a living off of poker then it would be reasonable to assume he would cash in live tournaments every now and then.

That and he is down points on ring tables, if he can't even win points here at the soft ring tables then he isn't winning cash at real money tables.
