    Hand of the Day 08/08
    Continuation from yesterday

You actually call to keep him from folding his bluffs and keep weaker hands around.

    P1(CO) $72.55
    P2(BTN) $194.80
    P3(SB) $96.30
    Me(BB) $104.10
    P5(UTG) $53.55
    P6(MP) $117.05

    Pre Flop: Me(BB) with [Kd,Ks]
    P5(UTG) calls 1,
    P6(MP) folds,
    P1(CO) folds,
    P2(BTN) raises 3,
    P3(SB) folds,
    Me(BB) raises to 10,
    P5(UTG) folds,
    P2(BTN) raises to 25,
    Me(BB) Calls 15

    Flop: (Kh,Jd,5h) (2 players)

Jackpot. You've flopped top set against a laggy player who 4bet. Now the question is how do you get the most value out of the hand? There is around $54 in the pot right now. I think checking with the intention of check raising or check/calling is the way to go. He could be firing Kx AA QQ JJ TT and anything he might have whiffed on to try to take the pot down. We should be expecting a bet from him here...

    Me(BB) checks
    P2(BTN) checks

    Turn: Qs (2 players)

...or not. Pot is still around $54, you have around $74 left and he has you covered. What's your move now?

Needed "bet 3/4 pot" to be one of the options...you have to get these polls up lighting fast...oh well

I agree... Could possibly check again but that's living dangerously.

        Turn: Qs (2 players)
        Me(BB) bets 30.75, P2(BTN) calls 30.75

        River: Js (2 players)
        Me(BB) bets 48.35, P2(BTN) calls 48.35

        Final:
        Me(BB) wins 206.70

He ended up having K9 diamonds...pretty dreadful play by him...a shove pf would have almost certainly folded him out.

? Turn is only good for T9 or AT, everything else is way behind. Only better hand on river is JJ...

Oops, you are right. I read the starting hand wrong...even though I saw the same thing yesterday and the day before
