I have an omaha hi/lo question

you need two of your cards with 3 community cards

I had a J and the flop came J44.

Then the turn was another 4 and instead of showing me with a full house, it said I had 3 of a kind, 4s

I'm very confused

The other guy won 4/10 boat, but I had 4/J, except maybe it was a software bug?

Dealer: yisman shows a straight, ten to ace.
Dealer: bobbywaves shows a straight, nine to king.
Dealer: yisman wins $67.50 with a straight, ten to ace with ace kicker.

ace kicker????????

Remember you need to use two cards from your hand. With trips on the board you need to be have a pocket pair in your hand in order to make a full house. If you hand was AJ34 you would use the AJ and with the trip 4's on the flop your best high hand would be AJ444 or trip 4's.

Or in other words, you can also ONLY play 3 of the community cards. And of course you would play your best 3 cards which would be the three 4's.

If you wanted to play the Jack and 4, 4 then you would only have 2 pair

Would you believe that I have hit more Royal Flushes in live action at casinos then I have with online poker?

I have hit around 5 Royal Flushes in live action and MAYBE only 3 in online action. And I used to play on Poker Stars and Fulltilt for around 7 hours a day

but why did it say kicker ace when I had a better straight? And the ace was being used, it wasn't a kicker

Actually their software says it correctly. You had an ace high straight. Both of you guys had straights, but yours was ace high

It would just like if both of you had flushes. You flush had an ace kicker just like your straight had an ace high kicker

No it said straight 10 to ace with ace kicker.

That makes no sense.

If I had a flush like that it wouldn't say ace kicker. It would say flush, ace high.

There's no kicker.
