Poker Series Suggestion

1st off I think SBR does a great job in running these series. I came in over 1 month late to the triathlon so I am running dead in that but was thinking about cool upcoming events that SBR could have. Has SBR ever tried to get a World Series of Poker type thing where they semi mimic the events of the WSOP but only use the holdem, omaha n Hi/low events. Make the events like 5% give or take of what the actual buy ins are. Potentially less then that even but make it so each event had a few 100 people and award the winners of the event with a special badge that never goes away that would symbolize having won a bracelet essentially. Just an idea I was having...

Anyone else have any cool poker series ideas!?

I agree. Not a huge fan of the World Cup although it is the only one I have ever done so I guess it did something right because I did play every day which I haven't been able to do since then.

I like this idea. Have some bigger buy ins where players can satellite in. "Badges" as bracelets. Doubt it'll happen soon though.

I've put some thought into this and after discussing it over with SBR it appears the next contest will be the SBR World Cupathalon Championship Series. Basically how it's going to work is it all starts around April 1st and runs the majority of the year until December 31st.

There will be 4 teams from the US, Canada, World, and Europe. If you ever placed in the top 10 in an SBR Poker tournament you will automatically be log jammed into team US to make sure the top 95% of the best players on are one team. After poker points are accumulated over a span of 9 months, the top 10 players from each team will play a hand of blackjack. It's important that one hand of blackjack carries as much weight as 9 months of poker. If the house wins you are out. The remaining players will then partake in a roshambo tournament to crown the winner.

Once the winner is crowned, the lucky contestant will be flown to a Golden Coral close to SBR headquarters where they will challenge TTWarrior in an old fashioned pie eating contest. If they are lucky enough to win that contest, they will then win 1,000,000 points which can only be rolled over by short stacking and playing a hit & run style. Only contestants from the US will be eligible for the points and you must be a NON-PRO and PM SBRPoker your address so you can claim them.

Sounds like an exciting event. I can hardly wait

the scoring in this current poker make no sense as well.. the daily tournaments are basically not important.. its one tournament at the end which determines the triatholon pts.. they should have done the sportsbetting one as ONE pick too

Stash- The daily's gotta mean something, Im 383 outa 385 in the hoops contest but sitting 54th overall in tri cup. Dont know how but im up there, doing "ok" in poker and completely shit pants in hoops yet still ranked top 55.......You got me man, no clue.
