Ask around, doubt you are going to find anything about home poker games online. But maybe those sites are legit, I don't think many people have this issue so they got no idea how to help.

i have tried to find games in my area when I moved here. Tried all those sites and looked for a long time everything is either outdated, or sketchy. My advice start your own on one of those sites and have others that are looking to play come to you, more people looking than hosting

Haven't heard of any of those sites so I defiantly wouldn't trust them.

Ive known a few guys that have gotten involved with home poker games they found on some form of google generated search. One said the game was nice and the rest generally were not big fans. Said the games were cheap, sketchy, set up, or whatever. Never had anyone robbed if it makes you feel any better though.

Depends on where you live. Try http://poker.meetup.com/

You can also try networking if there's a bar league in your area. Those leagues are generally free but someone there usually has knowledge of home games in the area.
