Ryan is fantasic there but their defense is terrible.. Don't be suprised denver rushes more tonight. The Falcons needs to go in the parking lot to find some better rush defenders. Should be high scoring but denver wins 37-24

Not betting this game (it's a coin flip (what isn't?) to me but I'd lean towards Atlanta -3) but I have under 57.5 as part of a two game teaser, for the win. Logic being that Denver/Manning emphasize the run and short pass and that both teams are pretty stout on defense. Atlanta can stack their defense to an extent because Manning doesn't usually go deep, though you are running a small risk doing that against a QB with Manning's experience. Still, you don't want him to pick you apart. OTOH, this is a fast field and teams are mostly scoring a lot so I am not feeling that great about any unders right now - we'll see. It's also early in the season and lots of unpredictability ....

Here's a stat - (and i know different teams, different players, blah blah blah, but still a stat)

Since 2000, Denver has only lost one Week 2 game and that was in 2004 where they lost by 1 pt. Atlanta is beatable at home - they lost at home twice last year to good teams with great QB's - Saints and Packers. I'd say Manning is still in their class and he's gotta be the smartest QB to ever play the game. Also, while the Falcons put up points last week and crushed the Chiefs.....the first half of that game was close and the Chiefs marched down the field every possession. Atlanta's D is weak!

Atlanta has an all time winning percentage of 27% on MNF (2nd worst in the NFL).

I'm gonna take the 3 for some extra insurance.

Broncos are the play, better defense and better running game. If the Falcons want to win, they better have double-digit lead entering fourth quarter because I side with Manning late in a close game.

They are brutal in every way, not just vs. run. They will have to win games 38-28 this year. Offense could do it too, but it would be easier if they had an every-down running back.

Despite, their gaudy passing numbers last week people should remember that Kansas City did not have Hali nor Flowers. Atlanta's OL is below average and Von Miller and Dumersvil will pressure Ryan a lot. Turner's skills have eroded through out the years. He is not terrible by any means, but all those carries have added up. Ryan's 30-4 Mark at home should worry Bronco Backers, but his ATS is like 19-12 or something like that. Peyton 13-2 as a dog, and has played in a dome in Indy so there should be a level of comfort.

Last year, the Falcons did not defeat an above 500 team apart from the Lions. There only other decent win was a road victory against Seattle in which they almost blew a 3 TD lead. They did defeat Philly at home last year, but that team was still struggling with the concept of Wide 9 and Vick was knocked out.

Grimes was a huge loss for this team. By far their best cover corner. Robinson is a nice tackler, but he gets beaten a lot. Asante is a ballhawk, but he often gets burnt for makig the picks.

That being said, Atlanta is finally a much more pass oriented O like it should have been in the year's past. Roddy, Julio, and Tgonz are great weapons, but I am ultimately taking Broncos +3. Peyton's 9-1 record and 24-6 TD to INT ratio build confidence. GL everyone.
