It comes from the arrogance of your original post that suggests posters are all hothead lunatics that on the drop of a hat want books downgraded to F, but that SBR is incredibly wise. I don't mind this coming from Walker since he actually knows what's going on, but it's kind of ridiculous coming from someone that doesn't have a clue about the industry but pretends to because she's employed to scan the board for naughty language.
I apologize for interrupting your private discussion with ray. I had no idea it was so rude to interrupt such conversations taking place in the middle of a public forum.Comment -

#179That part of your post is irrelevant. I was addressing your holier than thou attitude displayed in your 5D remarks.
As for the part about hidden meaning, you're right, I have no idea what that even means. Hidden meaning behind what part of your post?

This was how wsex fell and if i remember correctly sbr backed them a while too.Comment -

#183Should I say you're being a typical male who is being deliberately obtuse and pompous? Nah, that'd be sexist. You don't have any idea what I was talking about yet you felt the need to nastily address my comment explicitly directed to someone else anyway. Ray understood what I meant by that post and he answered it genuinely as he always does when I ask him for his opinion. Again - there's a reason I specifically asked him the question and didn't just post it without quoting anyone. GL with your bets today and I hope you get your cash soon. It's not a great feeling just watching anyone sweat payouts regardless of what book it is so I can only imagine how much it sucks being one of those experiencing it firsthand.
It's a public forum and you complain that I comment on it??What's even funnier is you're a representative of a website that rates sportsbooks and you make comments about the rating of a sportsbook on a website that rates sportsbooks .... but don't expect anyone to reply. If your last sentence was "raydog, what'd you have for dinner?", I am still going to comment on the 5D preface.

#187and as for my personal (and perhaps unwanted) input, sbr has been very helpful in getting me cash more than a couple times, even before i was a member of the forum.
even years later with betroyal, sbr/chester got me $3800 that dated back 3-4 years without any documentation or evidence on my part
sbr was the only one rating betonsports a d- while everyone else had them top tier before they no paid.
so let's be a bit reasonable here, sbr has always and will always be a better resource than eog/rx/etc. are they perfect, no, but in the absence of perfection we look for the next best thing.

#195Once again Matty proves himself as the best thread starter in forum history. A multitude of replies!
If there were any viable forums that could compete with SBR, Matty would be the top free agent. Yes, even ahead of jjgold.
Shari, I still can't believe you think a 3-3 narrow airplane cabin configuration is First Class. Your credibility is damaged as a result of such a silly assertion.Comment -

#196I'm not in it... that's the whole point I tried to explain to you about the difference between a Mod and an Admin! I have people asking me off the forum what I think about BOL all wknd and I keep saying I'm watching this as it unfolds just like any other poster. That's why I asked Ray his opinion. He's not always SBR's biggest supporter at times but he's always honest with me and I know he's watching it all. Sometimes what he says is pro SBR and sometimes it's not. Nothing wrong with that.Comment -

#197Before you send money to a third world country
for a service that falls into the "grey" area of legality
ask yourself this question
why years after the fall of the "mean old despot",that was hand picked by the US state Dept many years before,
are they still using the USD as the official currency
this a country Known from the mid 1970's on as a money laundering haven
and yet they still keep the USD as the official currency
let review the other offshore US facing sports book havens
Costa Rica has the Colon
Curacao has the guilder(euro)
even our Mohawk friends In the great white north have a currency, evidently the new $100 smell like maple syrup
and yet a small little country with a hole in the middle of it and pretty much uninhabitable south of that hole
still keeps the USD as it's folding money
and you want to send your USD there
good luckComment -

#203Maybe these shit rated books should have figured out that trying to backdoor the U.S. market was not such a good idea. If you can't pay the whales unless it is with a suitcase full of fukkin cash, then how are you gonna pay the recs and small timers.
U.S. whales buried these mutherfukkers swinging for the fences. They are still fukkin swinging. All on the balance sheet. Feds onto the money movers now no one is getting paid on time. Sooner or later everyone is on the freeze or slow play.
Any one of those shit shacks could be buried at any time. This was eventually going to be a problem for any book still taking US players. Can't get the big balances off the books. Hanging their own asses trying to move cash.
Big fukkin mess.Comment -

#204We've posted in threads about the book.
BetOnline has an issue with a wire processor. Average total time now is about a month wait for 8 owed accounts. 6 are wires. Two, via other method, in Asia are waiting over a month. It's the same as it always has been... If it's one batch of players due to a processing problem, we work on letting players know the updates and expect the book to fix and move on. If it is a new trend for a high rated book taking x days to send funds then we adjust the rating.
Bodog, who is back down to 2 weeks from 4 or more, is one of the biggest and longest standing sponsors and was recently downgraded 2 spots. They hope to be at one week's time soon. But, they also started higher than BetOnline.
BetOnline has had their share of issues this summer, but as I tell new guys who ask, they have corrected each and have never cheated or not paid a player in 6 years. They also rescued Sportsbetting.com. There is a lot to keep an eye on right now. Hopefully things stay smooth for their existing BetOnline players.Comment -

1st bold print - if average is "about a month" that means some of those have been waiting a couple months. unacceptable but let's face facts, this is still very much in the slow-pay/processor issue rather than no-pay category.
2nd bold print - isn't this true of every top-tier book, right until they start not paying? in times like this if i ran a book i would say "i'll send you the max mon.eygr.am or we.ster.uni.on every day at my expense until this gets settled"Comment -

#207Gritter if I sound like I am giving Mathy shit here. I made a valid point and I am sure even Mathy knows what point I was making. Mathy or anyone else should be paid, absolutely. Sux that he is grinding on a slow pay.
You make a very valid point here and it is the same one I have been pushing here. Make sure your outs are solid. Do your homework. Or eat the risk if you take it.
Mathy of all people knew, or should have known what was common knowledge here. After the ringleaders of BOL and a few other "family" books took a ride, it was best to avoid them. That shit is still for the most part not finished. Buyer beware.
Mathy is not complaining that BOL is slowpaying him. He understands and accepts that risk when weighing whether or not to play at BOL or any other book for that matter.
Mathy has a problem with the way SBR is handling BOL given that SBR claims to look out for the player. That is his point. Mathy is simply stating that SBR is more quick to play the "watchdog" role when complaints involve a book that is not a primary advertiser (or better yet, a book that advertises at RX and not here).
