The unemployment rate has been stuck above 8 percent for more than three years, the longest run since the Great Depression.

Saw that, Sam. Interesting stat is that Obama will be one of two presidents who had to go into their election for a second term with an above 8% unemployment. FDR being the other one. Strange to think.
Actually, I for some reason under the impression that it was over 10%.

The real number is over 10%. The official unemployment rate is only people that are still filing for unemployment. It does not include people who have been out of work long enough that they can no longer file for unemployment benefits. The real number is probably closer to 12%

Hes laying off 2 million more people on jan 1st and trying to keep it quiet till after the election even though hes legally required to give 60-90 days notice. Obama doesnt care about laws hes thinks hes a dictator even though he pushed the WARN act back in 2007 as a senator.

The real number is 21-22% but the obama administration fudges the numbers.

Yes, I remember 911 since I was born and raised on Long Island. And how many lives were lost and the thousands that came home with missing limbs over there.

This is true
I have a bachelors degree and have been turned down for so many jobs because I do not have the experience
But how the fuk am I supposed to get experience if every single job posting, even the entry level jobs, require experience?
I did internships and all that but they say its not real experience
Lose lose situation

This (almost) ... Hire away the top X execs linesmen etc from Vegas. Buy a giant building (probably have many foreclosed) and X $$$ worth of computer equipment and governmentize it. All profits tax free. Good bye national deficit.

I feel bad for college grads today, 16 years ago i had to drop out of college becuase i was going to become a dad and the company i was interning for hired me anyway because they knew i could do the job i was gonna be hired for after i graduated anyway. Times have really changed in the last 15-20 years and a college degree just isnt worth as much nowadays.
