US had a bad game against Spain and still won by DD. This team missing 2 of the top 6-7 players in the world. Guaranteed 1st ballot HOFmer in Dwayne Wade. Stronger bench. Dwight Howard down low makes the biggest different. He can't be replaced. He would dominate any big man from the Dream team on the defensive end and the glass.

Barkley? He would get eaten alive by Anthony. No chance to guard a player like that or Kevin Durant.

08 would have a better chance because of the guys that could guard Jordan. You have 2 of the greatest guard defenders ever in Wade and Bryant in their primes to take turns. and throw Lebron in there too if either gets tired.

Gaining Ibaka makes this team far better than losing Navarro considering they're guard heavy as it is. Marc Gasol is three times the player he was. Pau might be the key if he's gonna keep playing like a pussbag or if he's going to play like an nba champ.

Magic was at the end of his career. He wouldn't be able to guard anyone defensively. You had L. Bird and Magic who were both weak defenders at that time yet no one considers that because most here did not really watch '92 dream team. You think Larry Bird is gonna guard Lebron James? Magic is gonna chase Cp3 around? No chance.

The Dream Team's advantage would be the interior. Their perimeter players would get destroyed aside from Jordan.
