Surprisingly, im not surprised. I knew a local who wuldnt take my action who was dumb enough to do this for over half a season, his clientele was too dumb to take advantage of it for the most part til one guy beat it into the ground and he saw how stupid he was. If this guy has been in business 10 years, which i doubt, i wuld think about sandbagging.

But as usual everyone on here falling all over themselves trying to make themselves look smart dont even realize this isnt any great position to take, especially if he is taking weak amounts and has a sheet. So most guys just look dumb thinking this is a no brainer approach.

I knew a local years ago would put out -2 1/2 on a heavy local favorite (like Gooden w/Mets).

Also what about the run line takeback? Same as the lay?

Locals did this with hockey too, and beat up squares, who either pushed or lost most of the time, since the run/puck lines were like lay 1 1/2 or take back 1. Long before Internet

Here's how this works. If the line is -130 to -160 the line will be -1. -170 to -200 -1.5. -210 to -250 -2. -260 and up -2.5. Anything below -130 will be pick em. That's how a lot of bookies do this run line deal.
