Why did Ryan Lochte go from -125 to +375 to win the 200m Free?
Is this due to his choke job in the relay race?
    Who wins and why?

Several other guys have bested him easily thru qualifing heats and semis.

Other thread says Agnel or S. Yang to win.

The field is closer to him than the books originally thought, but that's how it should have been all along.

Also, due to his rigorous Olympic schedule, Lochte really has to conserve energy in the prelims and semifinals, whereas other swimmers who aren't competing several events can post better times in the earlier rounds.

Lochte is the defending world champion and will go much faster than he did in semi's. However I liked Agnel at +249 so I'm trying to decide if I should hedge a little bit on Lochte. I think one of those two will win gold over Sun Yang.

Which is why if you like Michael Phelps to win the 200 Butterfly, get your bets in within the next 2 hours because they will not be at +170 after semifinals. This used to be at -600. Classic example of the books not knowing swimming and the fact that Phelps and Lochte never give full effort in prelims and semifinals while their competitors are.

Is Phelps more likely to win the 200m butterfly or the 100m butterfly?

I think the 100. Competition is weaker and his 100 free split on the relay last night reflects his shorter distance training in recent years.

I see Phelps @200m butterfly +130 and @100m butterfly -200 so I guess that reflects this somewhat.

Hope got on Agnel! I got hurt as I was on Lochte and Yang. Picked Lochte Saturday night like an idiot at -125.

Was on Agnel (+249) a few weeks ago
And also on the field (-135) vs. Sun Yang

Lochte had a surprisingly bad swim...

Line kept going up before the race. I think I saw him close around +490.
