Debt goes up 4 bill a day. No big deal. Keep giving out more money to those who find themselves too good to flip burgers or push a broom. Hell, let's just give everyone health coverage to sit on their ass. Obamacare is already in place. Go into any hospital you're taken care of regardless and the bill is passed on to tax payers.

Now he is reforming welfare so it is easier to stay on the tax payers dole for life. A lot of the millionaires and billionaires are leaving the usa and renouncing citizenship so they don't have to pay 75% Obama income tax rate.

You Obama lover. You must really love this guy to put up with 8.2% sustainable unemployment over 40 months and a 16 Trillion dollar national debt that will be our nations downfall if Romney does not win.
Taxing the rich at 100% would run this country for 8 days.

#49Got some stats on what percentage of millionaires and billionaires have left the United States and renounced their citizenship, buddy?
Why should the millionaires and billionaires continue to pay for all the lazy human garbage that refuses to do their fair share of the work (yourself included).
Regarding this ridiculous chart:
Why do people think that anything put out by the Congressional Budget Office is automatically non-partisan and accurate? The CBO is a government agency with its employees receiving government checks and will do EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE TOLD TO DO.
That chart is claiming that Bush spent almost 6X as much money as Obama even though our country's deficit has gone from $10 Trillion to almost $16 Trillion under Obama's watch.
The amount of number shifting and deception that went into making that chart is really quite the piece of accounting trickery, for example:
All of the TARP money that was lent to the banks shows up as government spending on the Bush '06-'09 line. When the banks paid back their TARP loans, every single dollar went to REDUCE the Obama '10-'13 line.
Since liberal democrats are as dumb as tree stumps and have their heads up Obama's rear end as it is, they will believe anything they are shown. Unfortunately, the democrats are counting on many swing voters to also buy into the trickery and hopefully they FAIL in that regard.Comment -

#52Yes, only democrats are using lies to trick voters in swing states. [/sarcasm]
There has been far more damage done to the United States of America under Obama than just money.
It has now become cool and acceptable to walk away from your financial obligations whether they be home mortgages, CC debt, etc and this might very well be an IMPOSSIBLE problem to fix.
A country is only as good as its people and this class warfare crap coming out of Obama's mouth is incredibly damaging.
The only thing that Obama is going to accomplish is running more and more millionaires and billionaires out of the country as what happened with all of those Facebook guys.
Imagine what will happen to the U.S. if Obama is successful in his mission? Would you want to live in the United States of America with no millionaires or billionaires who create all the private sector jobs and pay almost all of the income tax collected in this country?
Now more than ever, the GOP needs to turn back into the republican party of old but I don't think that is going to happen. Look at the way the GOP turned away from Paul Ryan's plan to try and attempt to plug up the gaping deficit holes.
Make no mistake that we are The Titanic and we have already hit the iceberg. Electing the republicans to majorities is equivalent to turning on the water pumps which will buy the U.S. some additional time only.
The damage has already been sustained.Comment -

As far as it being cool to walk away from debt, well - it is simple, a lot of the middle class is having an awakening of sorts, and are using the same type of bullshit tricks the rich have been using, and instead are seeing things as investments, and are simply walking away from bad investments.
This country is morally bankrupt - and the infighting among its citizens over two sides of the aisle which are for all intents and purposes exactly a like except for some of the more polarizing issues (abortion, etc) is what is dismantling it.Comment -

Instead of cutting the deficit in half like he PROMISED during his campaign, he just added 33% more to it in 4 years. Instead of getting unemployment down with all of his Quantitative Easing Stimulus bullshi t he gave money to companies like Solyndra who went bankrupt.

#65I have on slight issue with the argument of the billionaire/millionaire etc will leave because of being taxed too high. It is simple, this country affords those people some amazing stuff via the laws of this land, as a result of those same laws - many people earned their riches. My opinion is simple, if you benefit from the laws of this country, you need to pony up and pay the taxes that allows you to do so.
Obama and the democrats have been engaging in class warfare for years but so far all of their words have only been hot air. There will most definitely come a time when they carry through on their words and at that time you will see billionaires/millionaires leaving if the tax rates levied upon them are too high. The thought that the ultra wealthy are just going to "sit there and take it" when faced with massive tax increases just isnt realistic.

No matter how bad the economy gets, people should NEVER be excused (let alone be treated as victims) when they walk away from their financial responsibilities they get themselves into. Allowing people to stay in their homes for years after they default on their mortgages due to robo-signing of foreclosures or anything else sets an incredibly bad precedent.
Spain is going through much tougher times than the U.S. and yet their foreclosure rate is tiny in comparison to ours because they don't allow people to walk away from their obligations. In Spain, if you're underwater on your home and walk away, the home gets sold at auction and you are responsible for any shortfalls for the rest of your life.
That is the way it needs to be here.Comment -

#67Our country's tax system is already very progressive and the wealthy are carrying the majority of our country's tax burden as it is. Nothing is more irritating than hearing a liberal democrat use the term "fair share" when talking about tax rates levied on the wealthy.

If Obama and his czars would have allocated the QE spending to paying down mortgages for tax paying citizens the housing market would be fixed and people would have values in line with balances.
People would not leave their homes since they would not be underwater. People could have refinanced because they would not have late payments. He could have even forced his cronies at the banks to refi all homes since loan to values would be in line and collateral would have been good.
Disposable income would have been higher since families would have lower mortgages. People would infuse capital into the economy.Comment -

Why is spain suffering currently? Was it due to a housing collapse? It is a real and not rhetorical question.
Finally, also on the spain note, and all of it generally - it is once again the laws of this country that allows one to walk away, and if you believe that bankruptcy isn't abused constantly by the same billionaires you are worried about leaving, you are gravely mistaken. Same goes to the other points above. The reason it has been all hot air, is that it cannot pass. It is literally impossible to pass something in this country that money opposes.
For instance, obamacare was backed by an insane amount of money - not much money at all opposing it. Just rhetoric from republicans who would be championing the plan if a red tie was the one associated with it instead of a blue one.
