Can someone explain to me how it works... does each player on every position play one or a few innings? With so many people/reserves/pitchers... how is who plays determined? I never watched an All Star game in baseball before.

No.

Pitchers get anywhere from a few innings to one out. Position players play for a couple innings, but they get switched all the time.

Realize the guy replacing someone is good too.

As a result, you gotta think the AL is the play here. (I am a big NL homer)

This is a toss up in every sense of the phrase.
With that said, you have to play the dog, especially at the current odds IMO.

AL lineup certainly has more firepower, but the NL has better pitching......especially if they got a late lead and could throw Chapman, Hanrahan and Kimbrel out there.

Sure the AL pitching is deep.....but I think Perez, Nathan and Rodney are little more susceptable on the back end.

Either way......small wager if any.
