    Greatest Multiple Sport Athlete EVER
cliche topic.... but the cut short by injury thread finally got to me....

time to reopen this oldie but good classic thread topic....

yes Bo Jackson wins for 65% of us.

but let's hear some outside the box thinking beyond Bo, Deion, and Jim Thorpe....

to me the uncontested WINNER is Jim Brown, hands down. might have been greatest ever in TWO sports....

After that, in the next tier there are two head and shoulders above the rest as far as actually resume and not potential.

    Dick Groat and Jackie Robinson

    then comes Bo and Deion

    and then guys like

Dave Winfield, Chuck Conners, John Elway, Danny Ainge, Antonio Gates start to come into the picture....

surprise me with some avant garde additions to the conversation and where you think they fit in...

Bullet bob Hayes is far more accomplished than the rest of those guys except Jim Thorpe. Only gold medalists in nfl hall of fame.

And he did set the WR for the 100.

Was not Jim Browns 2nd sport lacrosse? Lacrosse blows. I live in an uber suburban area of Las Vegas, and all the schools on this side if town play it. Competiton is weak b/c all of the athletes play football/Basketball.

If Lebron decided to play in the NFL, he'd go down as a top 3 reciever of all time, maybe 1st. 270 pounds of 5% body fat, 6'9 with a 40 inch vertical leap and probably a 4.4 40 time. Basically a stronger, faster version of Calvin Johnson.

                            LeBron James.

Maybe he did not professionally play multiple sports, but he is easily one of the most gifted athletes of this era, and could easily play football professionally.

Disclaimer: I do not like Bron Bron. Just my attempt to go out of the box.

Kenny Lofton would have been a legend in Chicago if it wasn't for Steve Bartman.

Trade jump started their offense that put them in the playoffs.

Wilt Chamberlin in the discussion. Most talented center ever.

All-American in track. All-world (HOF) in Volleyball, as an after-thought. Would have been unstoppable as NFL Wr, too.
