ha, i cleaned up so far this series and waiting for my g note pre season bet at +200 for the heat. where is no coincidences.

everything i mentioned in the writeups panned out.

the inexperience, the nerves for harden ibaka westbrook, 4th quarter shakiness, Durant needing to unleash, poor passing teams (thunder one of lowest assists p game) don't beat mia, too much iso for thunder, wade and bron poised, better superstars/defenders, ibaka and perkins non factors because of shooters for heat at those positions, too many other things about the matchups.

In the end the magnitude of the moment got to the thunder just like most "analysts" said won't. Lebron was a 27 year old among 23 year olds and not among 32 year old star vets. Lebron 17ppg last year. even if he got 23 mia would have won. it was obvious lebron would average close to 30 against kids that were in high school when he was in an nba finals.

I think they do. People keep trying to compare this series to the Spurs/OKC series where OKC won 4 in a row after being down 0-2, but the Heat are clearly a tougher matchup for the Thunder.

LBJ's mindset in this series has been very focused, rather than last year where he seemed to take the Mavs very lightly after they took a 2-1 lead. Heat will play this game as if it is a game 7.

Harden is due for a good game.

Chalmers won't play as big a part in this game as OKC will defend him more.

Your friend does not apply to this kind of statistical application as there are no distribution curve, data points, samples, or historical data.

So no, absolutely not...

If a player is proven to shoot, say, 50% from the field over the course of his entire career and then he shoots 25% for 2 weeks, he can expect to shoot better based on regression to the mean. When a player goes cold or gets extremely hot, one can use his prior history on not only his life, but many others who fit his mold to more accuractly predict what will happen in the next few games - barring injuries.

People like to use things like this on a Roulette Table where Red hits 8 times in a row and they bet black, but where this is wrong is that Black and Red does not follow trends". It will be 47.37% Black or 47.37% red, regardless of what happened in the past.

A perfect example is Tim Lincecum. Barring a hidden inujry, he will likely have a great 2nd half.

Edit: Take a look at my post history and notice how I kept betting more and more on the Heat when the Thunder had their amazing 1st quarter last week. I wanted the Thunder to keep shooting 70 % while Miami was sub 30% because Miami was going to win the game and was capitalizing on this theory. The more Thunder went up, the better odds Miami had live betting, the more one could win.
