I'll admit it I was wrong on Errani, I figured ANYONE that made the French Open finals and won 3 WTA clay titles in the last 2 months must be something special, then they wheeled that midget out there and I watched her serve it about 50 mph and Im like holy **** how did that pos beat anybody

Oh for sure people betting WTA favorites at high chalk regularly need to have their heads examined, but I think your analysis was off on this one. Sharapova had been absolutely brilliant on clay this Spring with the exception of maybe one or two matches - she had been focused and producing results against better quality opponents than Errani. With the career Slam in her sights, also a reason to think her focus was legit. Errani is a good competitor and good on this surface, but Sharapova right now is the best women's player and is dialed in as well as any women has been in the last year.
