This is my first isolated large bet of the season and I am not asking anyone to tail, I just like the play and here are my thoughts.
Peavy has had not only an outstanding start to the year but also has pitched very well against the Tigers historically, giving up only 12 runs in his 5 starts, 3 of 5 being wins.
Yes Smyly had a great April. The numbers don't lie, striking out 22 while only walking 8, but the homer has not been his friend, and an interesting stat is that all of his ER's have come as a result of homers....and they were all SOLO homers, that can't possibly last. He has also yet to work past the sixth inning.

It could be a pitchers duel but I like the White Sox here, Peavy is seasoned and is looking more and more like the Cy Young winner they had hoped they were getting. White Sox have been good on the road (7-4) and even better at 13-3 lifetime when Peavy is pitching on the road. Tigers are a combined 22 for 117 (.188) against Peavy, and Cabrera is among those worst at 4 of 28 with 11K's.
