Ja Rule Launches Online Poker Room
    By James **

Hip Hop superstar unveils new online poker room with the Action Poker Network

Ja Rule has joined an ever growing list of celebrity poker enthusiasts to have set up their own online poker rooms by launching StarsOnPoker.com, as a member of the Action Poker Network.

The cardroom offers popular multiplayer poker games such as Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Low, 7 Card Stud together with exclusive games like Chinese Poker, Guts Poker, Panguigne and Big 2. To celebrate its opening, the site offered a $500,000 Freeroll, a free poker tournament with a top prize of $200,000.

Whilst offering its full suite of poker games in a free download, StarsOnPoker.com also provides unique features such as a link to recording star Ja Rule’s website, an online store with merchandise from the man himself, and of course a music player playing tracks from one of Hip Hop’s most successful and best loved artists.

The Action Poker Network is ranked in the top twenty poker networks worldwide and counts as its members ActionPoker.com, TigerGaming.com, Nine.com, EnglishHarbourPoker.com and many other fast-growing brands.

The network is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, and the proprietary gaming software is independently certified by iTech Labs.

Why would a celebrity, with a reasonably large fan base opening a poker room online make you "laugh your ass off"

It appears to me it is a smart move on his part, and can do nothing but generate more dollars and publicity for him.

          Props to him for it.

As for the the arting, in reality ratings from sites like these means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.

People who will play there, for the most part will do so because of his name, and not because the site has a Good rating from some "wolves in watchdogs clothing" web site.

The people playing there are his fans, and probably never heard of any of these supposed watchdog sites.
