It sure is easy to figure out who are the young punks are on this forum. I can only imagine how hard it would be to leave my family behind to chase a dream. Becoming a pro gambler would be no different from going to Hollywood to be an actor. Some make it some don't. To say stuff like going to his house and bang his wife just plan wrong. Guy poured his heart out to share a dream and a major change in his life that everyone here would love a shot at. To take shots at the guy personally shows only that you are a horrible person.

So many of us here are so much alike and can learn from each other. Right now gambling is fun for most of us, but at anytime we could make a turn for the worse and lose everything. I read some where that gamblers have a very high suicide rate. Before you take a shot at someone you might want to double think that because that person might be the one who saves you're life.

I actually think he got good advice from a couple of people. Everyone just telling him to go for it did him a great disservice but it's not like he was going to listen to anyone anyway since he had his mind made up by the time he posted. And gambling that way is not a job it's a habit. At least if he went to hollywood chasing a dream he could pick up some acting parts and get a meager SAG salary from them.

If his dream was to become a professional gambler he went about it in the wrong way. Do you really think that people can move to vegas insufficiently rolled making -ev bets by qualitative handicapping or rudimentary models alone and become successes? The answer is no. Sure they can ride variance for awhile but time is against them. Vegas is a mirage whose sole aim is to swindle people out of their money and it succeeds mercilessly.

It's been what 1 year since this was posted. What has happened during that interval?
A)Time away from family
B)Forfeited or reduced pension. If indexed even worst.

The results of his betting don't even matter.

Is this the kind of life people aspire to here?

Why not crack open a stats book and be with your children? Stay in or get out of the marriage if you're unsatisfied? The answer was living out some reverie is easier. It was hoping things will magically get better in Las Vegas. Maybe i'll be happy there. Oh that nagging feeling inside my mind? Ignore that. Better yet what's the yankees line tonight? Wow that's a lock lets lay this chalk. Something to look forward to. Something to give me meaning. All this is just an exercise in narcissism. The illusion of change while everything in your life still stays the same.

If you move to Vegas just to be a gambler, you are an idiot

If you move there and have a job that you will work, thats different

Unless your bankroll is 6 figures it should only be done as a side hobby to perhaps supplement your income not be your source of income

Also if you have an established job/career and a family and quit it to move to Vegas you are an idiot

If you are just out of school and haven't really established yourself anywhere yet then I can understand.

If you move to Vegas you HAVE to stay way from the tables, you HAVE to stay away from alcohol and other non necessities. Even if its free you still have to tip, and it impairs your jugdement.

Money management is the key to moving anywhere, and as someone who has lived in 3 different states in the past 18 months I know all about what works and what doesn't. And Las Vegas offers you exponentially more opporitunities to part yourself from your money than other places. Say no to the alcohol, no to the cigarettes, no to the wastes of money.

He hasn't posted since may 1st. Hope the guy went back home and raised his kids. I couldn't handle the stress of gambling for a living. I no longer make bets over 500 can't handle the stress. If you stress out watching the game because you have a lot ridding on it makes it no longer enjoyable.

Lv needs AA and GA. If you have ever watched his videos you know he is a rambling drunk that doesn't have enough self discipline to lose some weight, let alone bet professionally. He most likely doesn't even understand the basics of sports investing . It frightens me that our government hires fat, drunk, degenerates to protect us. LV never had a chance. BTW, Matt, I think that at some point you have to meet up with Fishhead, if he's out here. I don't personally know how to grind out advantages in the casinos, but I'm pretty sure he is an expert and you should buy the guy dinner and spend the whole time taking notes.
