Sportsbook of the Day - Millenium (and the clones)
The purpose of this thread is to post experiences, ratings, rantings and questions on any and all aspects of Millenium Sports.

NOTE added 6/9/06: In retrospect, I feel this was a poorly conceived thread. There are a few reasons I say that but mainly, I want to insert this added note of caution to everything that follows. These books are under the BetOnSports umbrella and as such should be viewed as higher risk. I don't think enough emphasis was put on the risk.

All the SBR ratings are accurate as of this moment and everything I have said is an honest account of my experience - but I just don't feel I have said enough about BetOnSports and their poor past record and the danger of that someday affecting all these books.

The reference was made to "the clones." That would be these other books in the BetonSports famly:

    MVPSportsbook - C+
    PlayersSuperBook - C+
    VirtualBookmaker - C
    VSI - C
    V-Wager - C+

and I'm pretty sure that BeverlyHillsBookie (C+) is a clone too. Hopefully someone will correct me if I have any of this wrong. When I say "clone" I am referring to them having identical lines/limits. There may be some slight differences in promotions at times.

And since the ratings vary slightly too, there may be other subtle factors I am not aware of. But from my perspective as a player, I find it valid to regard them as clones.

Other than Millenium, these books are the former VO Group. They were purchased by BetonSports at the close of 2005 - and the evolution seems to be ongoing.

Prior to the buyout, they had been around for years and tended to be well behaved members of the gambling community. Although they have had notoriously bad customer service and their lines have been un-notable, they have had good cash bonuses and always made their payouts.

I haven't noticed much change in any of that since BOS took over and cloned them up with Millenium.

Switching to Millenium standards has meant some improvements for those former VO books. Limits have increased and payouts have become more player friendly (in terms of higher daily limits and lower fees). Whereas e-mail customer service and Live Chat used to be non-existent, they now exist a lot of the time.

Selection is limited. Not much beyond the basic North American stuff. Dime lines on MLB sides but they break very low. Other than that, full juice all around.

Hmmm. I'm just a little unsatisfied with the clarity of this thread. I think I did too much comparing of what some of them used to be to what they are now, instead of just saying what players can expect if they play there.

While there are other books under the BetOnSports umbrella, these are the books that I am looking at right now which are all basically the same book - and there is really no point ever giving them separate Sportsbook of the Day threads.

          Millenium
          MVPSportsbook
          PlayersSuperBook
          VirtualBookmaker
          VSI
          V-Wager
          BeverlyHillsBookie

As I have said, selection is limited. Not much beyond the basic North American stuff. Dime lines on MLB sides but they break very low. Other than that, full juice all around.

They have 10K limits on MLB ML's, RL's and totals which is very nice. They do have a slow bet confirmation process though and will frequently reject larger dollar bets and move the line.

The customer service is inconsistent as are the websites. At least right now the websites are experiencing many glitches and errors - plus, even when they are working at full steam, they time-out much too fast. Some of them also have annoying pop-ups, either when signing in or else after confirming bets.

The inconsistency of the customer service can sometimes be to the players advantage. Though the book may advertise a 20% cash bonus, I have at times been able to negotiate 25% with a higher rollover. It depends who you talk to.

These are very good books for players focused on bonuses. Though each individual book will not allow any more bonuses once a payout has been taken, they will allow you to start again and receive a bonus at another book in the family.

But it is important to note that this is a transition period and things could change. Even as I log in today, I see a new search feature on the website that wasn't there a couple days ago. Things can change for the better and worse.

My summary would be that, with good bonuses and high limits, these books can be very useful. But the small selection, full-juice and lack of opinionation in the lines makes them, for me, books I would be unlikely to use without the bonuses.

            I have never used them.
What is the max bonus and is it safe to post there the amount from which the max bonus is derived?
Thanks! I appreciate this "bookie of a day" but I have nothing to say.

I have been told that the max bonus is 20% cash on $3000 which is a $600 bonus. I have taken that before. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get more if you asked.

The one area where these books are not always exact clones is bonuses - in fact the same book can even be different from day to day depending on who answers the phone - so it is never a bad idea to confirm things with them ahead of time.

The rollover can also vary depending on who answers the phone. This all probably sounds very bad but I have always found them to be safe books. You just have to put up with some occasional disorganization.

Sorry Lucas, I'm not sure I understand this question:

Sorry I have 4:30 AM and my head is not very fresh so I used synonym in my language which is of course not synonym in English.
I wanted to ask "is it safe to deposit there the amount from which the max bonus is derived?" so in your case 3K or generally 4figure sums?

Yes I find it safe. I've used them for years without a problem. The main complaints I hear about these books are disorganized customer service. They don't rip people off.

And their payout terms have gotten much friendlier in recent times so a big balance is even less of a concern. Last time I pulled a large amount out of one of these books about a month ago, it was $5000 per day with a $15 charge.

i didnt even know they were with bos but my experiences are from last football season.

received a nice bonus to post up, found alot of good numbers on underdogs for nfl, (not sure about CFB as i cant remember). i was able to bet a dime which is important to me with slightly off numbers

requested a payout and received it in a timely manner

received a 25% cash reload bonus in my email in the last month.

overall i was pretty happy there and think you could do alot worse.

                    solid b for me
