That was a terrible game to have to watch between two good teams. Refs never let them get into the game. Wish we would have seen the real versions of both teams and not the stripped down BS the refs allowed. See ya in March.Comment -
I expected more of a half court game, but it was so disjointed with the foul calls. And the fouls were just way too ticky tack for the most part or phantom for that matter. Anyway, on to the next.Comment -

I meant in response to your prior post that I did expect a half court game vs. an open one. Easy to say if Louisville makes their FTs, they win ... if the refs let Kris Joseph play, Syracuse might have won bigger. Ifs, ands and buts. It was an ugly ass game, hopefully March 3rd will be better if the refs let them play. Louisville shouldn't lose before then, so it will be another marquee game.Comment -
I don't know what game you were watching but Melo had some good rebounds late in that game and don't forget he hit his two free throws in the final minutes, which for a 7 footer is amazing, to help them win a close one. Not to mention some great blocking.
All in all it was a really ugly game and was really unsatisfying for me as a cuse fan, and I will assume the same for louisville fans. Just to many missed shots by both teams, and the ref's were just aweful both ways. I would be happy with a 1 point win there if both teams were playing up to speed and hitting shots, but with no points being scored with over 2 minutes left in the game it just left something to be desired.
A few things I can take away from this game: Louisville is finally playing up to their potential, that team that lost a few games and got killed by Rutgers in the middle of the year is long gone. Cuse stayed composed when they lost an 8 point lead and were down 5 in a very tough place to play with the crowd going crazy, and finally, if the syracuse bench doesn't go back to mid season form they will not be cutting down the nets in New Orleans.
Already looking forward to the game at the Carrier Dome where hopefully both teams will be allowed to play.Comment
