Not sure but in my betting shop in London I monitor my biggest customers and limit them accordingly

If you are betting big they may ask for an id. I was in Vegas a while back wagering some large amounts and they asked to see my drivers license. I think they made a copy of it.

I thought if you bet over a certain amount you need some sort of player card so they can track you???

All cash transactions that exceed 5k by itself or aggregated transactions during gaming day are logged and ID is asked for. When total cash transactions exceed 10k ID and SS# are required.
Asking for ID is part of gaming/IRS laws. Not necessarily because you are too strong of a player.
Majority of guys bounced from books are due to failure to provide valid ID, steam chasers or they are runners.

That might be the case now. When I said a while back I am talking about a decade ago. I do not remember them giving me a player card.

They don't suppress payouts. You win and you get paid.
They will flag you though and not take your action if you win too much.
[B][B]They key isn't getting rich quick. The key is getting rich slowly, and enjoying it.

I think the rules are a bit different for non-americans. You have to fill out a different form I believe. Not the traditional W-9 if you don't have your ss card

If you win too much, "some" books (not the strong books) will limit your action. Everything is on video so they'll profile you with or without a player's card.
